Located in Bridgehampton, New York, the ‘Sam’s Creek‘ residence was designed by Bates Masi + Architects to fit the client’s contemporary lifestyle. Organized as a series of open-ended mahogany boxes, the ‘Sam’s Creek’ residence contains a specific program that allows views to pierce through from the front yard to the rear gardens and landscape. The living spaces throughout the house are almost completely autonomous, with their own climate control and lighting qualities, further emphasizing their roles as independent. Built with a rather modest material palette, travertine pavers are used for the floors, while the exterior is wrapped with polished wood planks with large glass facades.
