Italian designer Riccardo Tisci has departed from his role as creative director of Givenchy. After almost twelve years at the storied French fashion label, Tisci’s Fall/ Winter 2017 menswear collection displayed recently in Paris will be his last. Riccardo Tisci is widely regarded as one of the first designers at a high-end label to embrace and appropriate streetwear. According to WWD, the split is amicable and came at the end of his existing contract effective Jan. 31st. Industry insiders are speculating that Tisci is heading to Versace, who he has long expressed his admiration for the work of the late Gianni Versace. Stay tuned!
