After menswear designer Michael Bastien sparked conversation about the relevance of New York Fashion Week for men’s designers last season, it looks like some big changes are in the works! According to sources, the Council of Fashion Designers is pushing to secure funding for a New York Men’s Fashion Week set to launch this July 2015. In a conversation with WWD, CFDA chief executive officer Steven Kolb revealed, ‘We have a little bit of money committed, but we need a little bit more. We have designer, editor and buyer interest. There are still a lot of boxes that need to be checked, but we have tentative dates for July of ’15 to be the first one.’ Read the entire conversation at WWD.com.
