Jean-Philippe Gawronski has created classic and simplified Elbaz of The House of Lanvin-like lines in a new Eco-conscious collection under the label I and D (Imitation and Disguise), a near first in the fashion industry.
The pret-a porter green swirl boasts a complete selection head to toe, including an array of textured chunky and deliciously colored necklaces, bracelets and shoes; they’re cool smooth tile carved rectangles juxtaposed with perfect hardware that say “go everywhere”. The design is natural, bold, brilliant and ethereal. Fanning sleeves and tight black leather smooth shorts create a minimalist play.
Afro-Brazilian vegetable dyes ascend the collection to levels unimaginable. The hues in the collection are simple and profound in their essence. Although appearing purposeful in the interest of style, therein lies the subtle unintentional accident of polished ambers and rich blacks, muted creams, profound greys and electric cerulean positioned together to draw attention to the design, but not overwhelm.
