David Beckham is featured in a new cover story for L’Uomo Vogue shot by David Bailey. In the years since David Beckham made his Premier League debut for Manchester United, Beckham has become one of the most photographed men in the world. Transformed into a fashion icon- he is no stranger to the scrutiny of the camera. Styled in the latest from Alexander McQueen, David Beckham talks to L’Uomo Vogue about facing the future. Beckham’s second great professional passion, fashion, has seen him build a long term partnership with H&M and assume co-ownership of the British heritage sportswear brand Kent & Curwen. Fittingly, Kent & Curwen owns the copyright to the three lions symbol – which the England national team wears on its shirt – but the transaction, says Beckham, makes business sense too. «Daniel Kearns, the creative director, has been exceptional so far. We already have a successful business with 100 stores in Asia and what we can build on that in the future is very exciting. It’s a creative reinvention». In his 20’s, David and his fiancée – then wife – Victoria became famous in the often reserved UK for their obvious and abundant delight in dressing exceptionally.’
