These days it’s nearly impossible to miss the summer sensation that is rosé. When catchy hashtags like #Brosé and #RealMenDrinkPink started popping up left and right, we knew the trend had become more than just for the ladies. Always looking for new ways to spice up the kitchen, Chef Roze Traore decided to embrace the trend and use this pink elixir to breathe new life into the often-predictable summer BBQ. As someone we’d consider to be cutting edge, Traore’s summer menu is sure to please. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu and signed model with industry-leader, Fusion Model Management, Traore draws inspiration from both his passion for fine cuisine as well as fashion and men’s fitness. In April 2015, Style.com featured Roze as one of their “Haute Foodies: Model Food Blogs Worth Following.”
With rosé as the focal point, Traore has created a classy yet approachable menu for cooks of all experience levels. Year round, the chef’s inspiration comes from local, clean and accessible ingredients that can speak for themselves when properly accented. This meal was no different. By combining the freshest components such as locally caught fish, organic fruits and vegetables from a nearby farm stand and simple preparation methods executed on your average grill, this rosé inspired feast exuded summer appeal both friendly to the waistline and appealing to the eye.
- First and foremost, a fresh and healthy fish is very important. Seafood often gets a bad rep for it’s odor, but the best kinds won’t have any smell at all.
- Before you start, make sure your grill has been cleaned of previous residue and greased up with olive oil.
- Don’t be afraid to liberally season your fish and veggies. I always say, “olive oil is one of the ingredients God gave to cooking.”
- Whenever you can buy local, do it. You’ll get the freshest and best tasting ingredients that haven’t spent hours or even days traveling to you.
