An annoucment came earlier today that Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens is retiring. Leader of the liberal bloc, Stevens will step down when the court finishes its work for the summer in late June or early July. I hope they make a wise decision, this will and can effect our country tremendously!

YAY! so glad that Obama gets a second appointment. I trust that he’ll pick someone great. I actually don’t mind that there’s a republican/dem split on the Supreme Court, because then they have to really really think about the issue at hand before they give their rulings. It’s crazy that people serve for so long – he’ll be 90!?!? that’s such dedication to the country.
Good bye!! So this means that President Obama can definitely make the next appointment to replace this judge. Well I’m alright with that!
