According to reports, The Beatles‘ 1968 animated movie and accompanying album, ‘Yellow Submarine,’ has been restored and is set to be re-released on May 28th. ‘Yellow Submarine,’ based on the music by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, follows the Sgt Pepper‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band, as they travel to a city under the sea. The team behind the new release updated the film frame-by-frame because of the “delicate nature of the hand-drawn original artwork.” The new film will also include a short making-of documentary, audio commentaries, behind-the-scene photographs and a 16-page booklet. Check back for updates, and as always, let us know what you think!
