According to Nielsen SoundScan, the new Sade CD went gold within the first week. A little over 500,000 fans picked up copies of the groups latest CD, “Soldier of Love,” which gave the group their first No.1 album in 20 years.The follow-up to their Grammy-winning album “Lovers Rock,” the new set debuted on top of the Billboard 200 album charts. I love the landscape shots in this video, but I think that the dancers and her costume are corny. I almost wish that just one figure had been in the entire video and a part of the background. But on another note, this cd is amazing… it’s definitely on repeat in the car. And as my friend said on her fb status, “thank you Sade”. LOL
i’m glad to see she’s still doin’ her thang!
She’s Back!
Oh what absolute joy Sade music can bring. The group has not missed a beat. It sounds like they never left the scene, and they just got back together to move on with that great music.
What I love…love about Sade is her timeless music. The lyrics were relevant years back, and still remain to this very day. I went to her concert years ago, and I’m definitely planning to see them again. Her voice sounds even richer if thats possible!
This does not come as a surprise to me! Her fans date back two decades, and the songs from then still get played around the world. I do think this is a little dark for her, but overall, I am happy for her and will be checking the cd out this weekend.
