Last night, pop icon Madonna took to the world’s biggest stage for the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVI. The 53-year-old singer was accompanied on stage by M.I.A. and Nicki Minaji, for a special performance of their new track, ”Give Me All Your Luvin.” In addition, artists like Elton John, Melanie Amaro, Motley Crue and The Darkness made on-camera appearances as well. The top four publishing companies – EMI Music, Universal Music, Warner/Chappell and Sony/ATV – each had more than a half-dozen commercial spots in this year’s Super Bowl. “The advertising community continues to prioritize great music as heavily as the comedic and/or shock value of their visuals,” said Brian Lambert, EVP — head of film and television music for Universal Music Publishing Group. “It’s great to be in the creative business!” Check out some of our favorite clips from Super Bowl XLVI below, and as always, let us know what you think?
