Last night, Mary J. Blige took over Club Nokia in Los Angeles for “American Express Unstaged,” in partnership with VEVO and YouTube. “American Express Unstaged” is a break-through digital music series, that brings the in-concert and at-home viewing experiences to new heights. Launched in the summer of 2010, “American Express Unstaged” brings together some of the industry’s most talented artist and influential filmmakers to create unique live-stream concerts. Just two weeks after Coldplay’s performance in Madrid which generated 19 million streams on YouTube, Mary J. Blige‘s concert was the seventh installment in the music series. The Grammy award-winning R&B singer teamed up with celebrated filmmaker Adam Shankman for her highly anticipated performance. Fans across the world tuned in via YouTube to watch Mary perform some of her fan favorites along with new tracks from My Life II…The Journey Continues (Act I). Special guest Nas also took the stage with Mary towards the end of the night. Immediately following the concert, an exclusive after party was held as guests toasted to the night’s success. Attendees included Mary J Blige, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Forest Whitaker, Anthony Anderson, director Adam Shankman, Jenifer Lopez and more.
