As Lupe Fiasco prepares to release his third album Lasers, he recently discussed the challenge of having to satisfy himself as well as his label. “You get to a certain point in your career and you wonder if you’re being arrogant or you are on the right path. There’s a misunderstanding with my fanbase,” he says. ”People [at Warner] feel they know my fans more than I do. They want me to step out of my comfort zone and step into theirs. I don’t have necessarily the celebrity success they want me to have but it’s more social success and being able to speak at a college about world affairs. That’s a success, to me.”
Despite the differences between Lupe and his label, all parties seem to be satisfied with his upcoming album. In addition to his album, Lupe has been working on a documentary he produced for the History Channel and his clothing line. Keep a look out for his new album. What do you think?

the man!
LOVE LUPE! I can’t wait until Lasers comes out – but he said it’d be his last album – to complete an entire story. We’ll see ??
*kick, push* is the greatest thing i’ve ever heard…
ok, he’s got talent…
Always have been a fan. I’ve always admired how he never tried to turn his talent into a reality show or something…Some rappers are more Hollywood than Marilyn Monroe…

and the amazing thing about kick push is that it was originally just a track that he wrote for a skateboarding doc film! DOPE!
