Remember the 1988 film ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’ According to the films director Robert Zemeckis, the long-promised sequel is in the works. Zemeckis has always been on board for a sequel, but the project has been stuck in development for more than a decade. The original film starred Bob Hoskins alongside a cast of cartoon characters which included the famous Jessica Rabbit. ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit‘ earned rave reviews for its clever mix of live action and animation and is now considered a modern classic. In a recent interview at the New York Film Festival on Sunday (October 14), Zemeckis revealed that he has a script ready. ‘I have a script at Disney, and we’re just waiting for all the executive changes to settle down there.’ In related news, Disney is planning a 3D re-release of the original ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit‘ next November (2013) to mark the film’s 25th anniversary.
