STEVEN SPIELBERG SET TO DIRECT ‘GODS AND KINGS’

According to reports, Steven Spielberg is close to signing on to direct the upcoming big screen version of the story of Moses. Titled, ‘ Gods And Kings,’ the biblical biopic will be backed by Warner Bros films who told Deadline in a recent interview that the director is expected to sign a deal by the end of January. The script for ‘Gods And Kings‘ was written by Stuart Hazeldine (Paradise Lost) and Michael Green (Green Lantern). A source closely involved with the project said, “It’s a movie like a Braveheart-ish version of the Moses story – him coming down the river, being adopted, leaving his home, forming an army and getting the Ten Commandments.” Production is expected to begin in March or April this year.
