Directed by Jon Favreau, Iron Man 2 starring Robert Downey Jr., hits theaters nationwide today. With the world now aware of his double life as the armored superhero Iron Man, billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) must resist pressure from the government and public to share his technology with the military. Unwilling to let go of his invention, Stark, along with Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle) at his side, must forge new alliances while  confronting the powerful enemies.
According to LA Times, “Iron Man 2 was never expected to rack up record-breaking grosses right away. Presales from online ticket sellers were not even among the all-time top 25, indicating a lack of eager fanboy interest to see the film immediately.Nonetheless, people who have seen prerelease surveys still expect the movie to gross roughly $150 million this weekend, which would be one of the biggest domestic launches ever. Moviegoers from every demographic have expressed very strong interest in the PG-13 picture. Overseas, the film has already collected $133 million through Wednesday from 53 foreign markets.”

Shawn, this does not come as a surprise to me! The 1st was one very good in my opinion and then they made an actor flip flop with Terrance Howard and Don Cheadle so this one had to out do the 1st. I know Mr. Terrance Howard is tight lol; he won’t be making any more demands anytime soon lol. I’ll probably check this out before the weekend is over!
