January 19, 2011 The Unbiased Writer
According to reports, Ben Stiller confirmed that he is set to make a sequel to the 2001 hit comedy, ‘Zoolander.’ The original film, which starred Stiller focused on a male model Derek Zoolander, who was brainwashed to assassinate a political figure. In addition to starring in the movie, Stiller also co-wrote the original script and directed the movie.
In a recent interview, Stiller told sources, “We’ve completed the script – we being [co-writer] Justin Theroux and I – and handed it into the studio. Now the studio has the script and we’re at that point where we’re waiting to see what they want to do. It’s 10 years later, and most of it is set in Europe. It’s basically Derek and Hansel 10 years later, though the last movie ended on a happy note a lot of things have happened in the meantime. Their lives have changed and they’re not really relevant anymore. It’s a new world for them.”
As of now, it remains unknown if Owen Wilson or Will Ferrell will have  parts in the upcoming film. Check back for updates, and as always, let us know what you think?

This is phenomenal news! I LOVED Zoolander and I think Zoolander fans will agree that this is what they’ve been waiting for! I do think the movie won’t be the same without Owen Wilson–he’s gotta come back for at least a cameo! I’m excited to see where they take this!
