Japan‘s famed Shinkansen or ‘bullet train’ just rolled out a new model in preparation for the Tokyo-hosted 2020 Olympic Games. This ‘Supreme’ iteration combines high-end performance with maximum comfort, aiming to be the premier transportation choice for the countless visitors heading to the Olympics. Built similar to the current train models, the ‘Supreme’ iteration can reach a top speed of 186 mph and features a modified “dual supreme wing type” design that aims to improve airflow. The interior features a number of updates which include extra leg room thanks to extended reclining capabilities. The new trains are being tested right now and are expected to be introduced in time for the 2020 Olympics.
