BANKSY CREATES ARTWORK FOR OCCUPY LONDON PROTEST

November 5, 2011 The Unbiased Writer
British street artist Banksy over the last few years has garnered an international reputation for his satirical street art and subversive epigrams. His artistic works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world. It’s only fitting that Banksy would offer his own artistic interpretation of the Occupy London protest. Protesters worldwide have come together to fight the dishonest financial organizations, and as a part of the Occupy London Movement, Banksy recreated the Monopoly game in support. His recreation of Monopoly shows an upset Uncle Pennybags holding his hat hoping for a handout. If you happen to be in London, be sure to stop  by the street installation located at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Check out the images, and as always, let us know what you think?
