The all-new XC90 marks the beginning of a new chapter in Volvo’s history that utilizes new scalable product architecture (SPA) technology. Built with Volvo’s own range of new technologies, the XC90 will be the first of its cars to carry the company’s new prominent iron mark grille, and T-shaped DRL lights. Considered the first of Volvo’s forthcoming generation of premium vehicles, the hybrid SUV combines a two-litre, four-cylinder supercharged petrol engine with an electric motor and includes two world first safety technologies: a run-off road protection package and auto brake at intersections. Inside the vehicle, a tablet-like touch screen control console forms the heart of a virtually button free in-car entertainment system that can be controlled by a range of internet-based products and services.
The XC90 interior combines soft leather and wood with handcrafted details, with a top-of-the-line audio system from renowned british audio equipment company bowers & wilkins. Get this: the XC90 includes the first air-ventilated subwoofer integrated into the car body. Check out the images below:
