Just in time for their 70th anniversary, Land Rover is set to bring the Defender back to the US after originally pulling it from the market in 1997. The 2018 edition of the Land Rover Defender will get a complete makeover and be available in various body styles and engines. Ranging from a 6-speed manual to a 9-speed automatic, production of the vehicle was originally suppose to end in December 2015 due to legislative reasons. As of now, it looks like those issues have been resolved and we can look forward to a new, refreshed Defender in the coming years. Be sure to check back for updates.
