JAY-Z STARTS NEW VENTURE FUND ‘MARCY VENTURE PARTNERS’

According to California regulatory filings, Jay-Z has a new venture fund called Marcy Venture Partners that is being launched with Walden Venture Capital managing director Larry Marcus and Roc Nation president Jay Brown. The investment fund was first reported by Axios last year when Jay-Z and Jay Brown were looking for a Silicon Valley partner. Walden Venture Capital’s Larry Marcus will help lead Marcy Venture Partners with his deep experience as an investor and early backer of Pandora and Netflix. Marcus also invested in sound and voice search startup SoundHound and retail tech company Skip and Terayon. Stay tuned for more details!
