Big news for all your Major League Baseball fans out there! Facebook announced today that it reached an agreement with the MLB to stream 20 live games during the 2017 season. Fans can watch one game a week streamed through the team’s local broadcast network via desktop or mobile on Facebook‘s platform. Dan Reed, Facebook’s Head of Global Sports Partnerships, released a statement on the partnership: ‘Baseball games are uniquely engaging community experiences, as the chatter and rituals in the stands are often as meaningful to fans as the action on the diamond. By distributing a live game per week on Facebook, Major League Baseball can re-imagine this social experience on a national scale.’
You can check out a live game on Facebook tomorrow as the Rockies take on The Reds at 7:10 p.m. EST. Enjoy!
