‘VAN GOGH’S EAR’ INSTALLATION ON DISPLAY AT ROCKEFELLER CENTER

elmgreen-dragset-van-gogh-ear1The Public Art Fund just unveiled “Van Gogh’s Ear,” a collaboration with artist duo Elmgreen & Dragset, who was behind the famous Marfa’s Prada storefront installation. The piece is comprised of a completely drained pool with a blue bottom and diving board, that is suppose to recall the sunny days in Los Angeles in the 1950’s. Crafted to resemble the form of an ear, the duo was inspired by the legendary artist Van Gogh and his dismembered ear. On display in front of Rockefeller Center at the heart of New York City, the “Van Gogh’s Ear” installation will be on display until June 3rd.elmgreen-dragset-van-gogh-ear
