Transforming scenes of natural landscapes and rock formations with vivid colors, Jonathan Zawada‘s oil paintings are eye-catching to say the least. At first glance, the process behind the paintings from Over Time seems pretty scientific. “The landscape topographies,” he tell us, “were derived from graph data (displayed as printed mirrors on accompanying plinths), modeled in 3D and then oil paintings created from those 3D renders”. On closer inspection, one of the titles of the graphs is Sleepless Nights Keep Couples Together. Another piece is simply called Dipset Dipset Dipset. Tongue in cheek, ironic sense of humor and all, these are seriously dope. What do you think?
