NATHANIEL MARY QUINN OPENS SOLO EXHIBITION

May 2, 2017 The Unbiased Writer

Brooklyn-based artist Nathaniel Mary Quinn was first introduced to the public through The Bronx Museum of the Arts in 2004. His work has been exhibited in a number of group exhibitions, and is set to be featured in a solo debut exhibition at NYC’s Half Gallery on May 2nd. Visualized as an nod to his mom, On That Faithful Day is comprised of nine original works that portray the artist’s late mother and himself. Using references from his childhood experiences, Quinn paints his subjects from fragmented visions of memories and experiences. Using texture Quinn applies an aged, forgotten feel to the pieces, along with patched visual fragments that offer a poetic effect. Check out the preview below: ‘On That Faithful Day’ exhibition runs from May 2nd- June 3rd
