Actor James Franco is featured on the cover of New York magazine’s all-new Art and Design issue. Captured by Maxine Helfman, the shoot was inspired by Vincent van Gogh and his famous self-portraits. New York magazine’s senior art critic Jerry Saltz sat down with Franco to discuss criticism he faces when entering the art world. Franco revealed, ‘I’ve done everything that I can to respect these professions that I’m interested in. I’ve gone to all these schools. I went to the art school that so many of my favorite artists have gone to.
