Just in times for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, the Gagosian Gallery located in London will be home to Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol‘s collaborative Olympic Rings painting. Originally created for the 1984 Summer Olympic Games held in Los Angeles, the artwork is one of many collaborative artworks produced by the two between 1983 and 1985. The work showcases Warhol’s abstract take on the Olympic five-rings symbol, while Basquiat pays tribute to famous African-American athletes from past Olympics in his signature graffiti style. If you happen to be in London, be sure to drop by the gallery and check it out! Let us know what you think in the comment section below!
