Internationally-acclaimed artist and activist Ai Weiwei is set to launch a series of new exhibitions in Los Angeles this Fall. The first exhibition will be held at the Marciano Art Foundation and will display an array of large-scale installations that deal with the current refugee crisis, as well as zodiac figures made of traditional kite-making textiles. The second exhibit will take place at the UTA Artist space and feature a large installation that mimics a field of grass. Lastly, Ai Weiwei is set to display his signature marble sculptures at Jeffrey Deitch’s Hollywood gallery. The Marciano Art Foundation exhibition opens on September 28th, while the Jeffrey Deitch Gallery exhibit will open on September 29th followed by the UTA Artist Space on October 4th.
