Scrubby_Bay___Photo_by_Greg_McKenzie_(2)Located on one of New Zealand’s iconic coastal sheep and cattle stations, this one-of-a-kind property is designed to be the center piece of a remote surf beach. Built as a farm experience for groups of up to 12 people, the property can only be accessed by helicopter. The project was commissioned by an expatriate as a base from which multiple farm and coastal activities could be enjoyed. At the center of the house is a stone fireplace, constructed from local rock taken from the surrounding area.
