Bridle Road Residence in Cape Town, South Africa, is a beautiful example of a single-family residence that exudes a classic elegance with Scandinavian /Japanese style, precision and scale. Cape Town’s Antonio Zaninovic was the architect behind the project. Zaninovic, spent five years at Steven Harris Architects in New York before establishing his own practice in 2005 with Spanish architect, Ana Corrochano. Zaninovic, has an amazing ability of letting the landscape lead the architectural solutions.
The Bridle Road Residence, integrates seamlessly with it’s exterior spaces, creating a sense that the property belongs to the landscape.The property features several sustainable designs including a self-cleaning outdoor pool,heat-repelling glass, and use of local materials such as balau wood and  poured finish concrete.The interior design of the residence was created by Lucien Rees of New York City-based Rees Roberts + Partners. The Bridle Road Residence won the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) 2010 Honor Award in the Residential Design category.
